Just another Manic Monday!

I’m excited about this week –

Tuesday April 6, 2010, is the day for this week’s Bug Day will focus on the Indicator Applet – woo hoo!  To find out more about this check out https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuBugDay/20100406

The Ubuntu Women Project will be announcing a new competition centered around World play day.  We are in the final planning stages for this competition.  More information will be hitting the lists later this week but if you are interested in finding out more prior to the announcement please see out wiki on this proposed competition.

The UW Project will also kick off our monthly 2nd and 4th Thursday meetings. The 2nd Thursday we will meet at 1200UTC in #ubuntu-women-project and the 4th Thursday of each month the meetings with be held at 2200UTC.  See link above for more information.

I love the new light theme, but that’s because I love purple, and with the announcement of Maverick Meerkat last week has me trying to figure out how a meerkat is going to look against that purple background.  However, I have to admit the new theme really makes me not care if there is an animal on my desktop or not — and I love the animals!

Don’t forget Ubuntu Weekly News is published every Sunday, and if you have a link to a great Ubuntu post that you believe should be included in the newsletter please send it to:https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/Ubuntu-news-team

The Ubuntu North Carolina LoCo has reorg’d our wiki pages and our approval application for LoCo approval is almost complete.  We are on the schedule for the next LoCo Council meeting schedule so wish us luck or take a look at the wiki and see if you can make it to support our team for approval.

Many interviews and blog past on Ubuntu User scheduled for this week as well.  Busy, busy, busy!

Let’s hope Tuesday doesn’t become the new Monday :-/ 😀
